Collections: Relocation Update
The Life Sciences collection is merging into the Schulich Library of Science and Engineering and the Main Education collection is moving to the 2nd floor of the McLennan Library Building. The collection moves are progressing well and we expect that the collection relocations will be completed in the upcoming weeks. We will keep you updated on a regular basis on our progress. If you have ANY questions or need a book right away, please contact any Librarian and they will work with you on sourcing the title. Tuesday, October 1

Increase in Service Hours at the Osler Library of the History of Medicine
As of Monday, October 17th, the Osler Library of the History of Medicine will be accessible at the following times: • Mondays from 10:00am to noon • Tuesdays from 3:00pm to 5:00pm • Thursdays from 1:00pm to 3:00pm For help regarding Osler materials, please contact Christopher Lyons at: christopher.lyons@mcgill.ca

Library Opening Hours: Thanksgiving Day (Monday, October 10, 2011)
On Monday, October 10th (Thanksgiving Day), 24 hour study access will be available at the Humanities and Social Sciences Library and the Schulich Library of Science and Engineering. All other library branches will be physically closed. Services (loans, reserves, consultations) at all branches will also be closed on Monday, October 10th.

William Osler street entranceway to the McIntyre Medical Building will be closed May 10 - 13
The Sir William Osler street entranceway to the McIntyre Medical Building will be closed May 10 - 13 from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm due to demolition near the entrance.
Restricted access to Osler Library on Wednesday March 30
The Osler Library’s reference service, journals, rare material consulting and access to the 4th floor mezzanine will not be available from 12:00-4:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 30, 2011. The Library’s circulating collection will still be available and access is via the internal staircase in the Life Sciences Library.
Life Sciences Library closed from 5 p.m. on Friday, March 18 until 8:30am on Monday, March 21
Due to a major electrical shutdown in the McIntyre Building, the Life Sciences Library will be closing at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18th , and reopening at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, March 21st.. We apologize for the inconvenience.
UpToDate now available for off-campus users
UpToDate is now available from the McGill VPN and Web VPN! Now any McGill student, faculty or staff will be able to access UpToDate remotely from anywhere.
Restricted access to McIntyre Building and Osler Library on February 25-27
As a result of the crane used for the renovation of the McIntyre Building being removed, access to the building and to the Osler Library will be restricted.
Life Sciences and Osler libraries closed evenings January 24 and 25
The Life Sciences Library and Osler Library will be closing at 6 p.m. on Monday, January 24 and Tuesday, January 25 due to a water shutdown in the McIntyre Building. We apologize for the inconvenience.
4th floor of Life Sciences and Osler libraries closed evenings Jan 17-21
Due to replacement of ceiling tiles and lighting, the 4th floor of the Life Sciences and Osler libraries will be closed : January 17-21, 2011 from 18:00 – 21:00.
Water shutdown in McIntyre building in evenings of Dec 15-16
Please note that due to renovations in the McIntyre Building, there will be no water on December 15 and December 16 after 19:00. We apologize for the inconvenience.
