The Sir William Osler street entranceway to the McIntyre Medical Building will be closed May 10 - 13 from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm due to demolition near the entrance.

The New York Times recently initiated a paywall for access to their website. The New York Times does not yet offer an institutional subscription. An alternative is Proquest National Newspapers. It contains scanned full-text (no images) of NYTimes from 1980-present. Library is offering access to this database on a trial basis. Please try this database. McGill Library is testing the Spirit Book Scanner -- a self-service machine that gives users a real time preview and saves directly to USB.

The Osler Library’s reference service, journals, rare material consulting and access to the 4th floor mezzanine will not be available from 12:00-4:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 30, 2011. The Library’s circulating collection will still be available and access is via the internal staircase in the Life Sciences Library.
