New Digital Exhibition: Tower of Babel or Universal Understanding? The Art of Translation in the Eighteenth Century
This exhibition tries to address these and other interesting and sometimes perplexing questions about the practice of translation in the eighteenth century. This digital exhibit consists of 82 high-resolution images digitized from works held by Rare Books and Special Collections, McGill University Library. The Sir William Osler street entranceway to the McIntyre Medical Building will be closed May 10 - 13 from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm due to demolition near the entrance.
New York Times available through ProQuest National Newspapers
The New York Times recently initiated a paywall for access to their website. The New York Times does not yet offer an institutional subscription. An alternative is Proquest National Newspapers. It contains scanned full-text (no images) of NYTimes from 1980-present. Library is offering access to this database on a trial basis. Please try this database. Schulich Library of Science and Engineering closing early on Monday, March 28
lease take note that due to a major power shutdown that will be affecting the Schulich Library on Monday March 28 (from 21:00), 2011, that we will be closing the Library at 20:30 and reopening it at normal time on Tuesday March 29 - i.e. 08:30.
