Jan. 28: Temporary closure of computer zone in McLennan Library Bldg

On Sunday, January 28, an event has been scheduled for Open House 2007. The computer zone on Level 1 (main floor) of the McLennan Library Building will not be accessible from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. Additional computers and group and individual study areas are available elsewhere in the McLennan and Redpath buildings, as well as in other branch libraries on campus. Please consult with staff at the Information Desk for details. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

'A Guide to Physical Examination': Streaming videos now available

These videos demonstrate appropriate techniques for assessing patients, providing a visual companion to the textbook, now in its ninth edition (2007). Each video shows approaches to assessment for a different body system. Note that all of these videos are not for the faint of heart. Some are explicit and discretion is requested before viewing in public areas.

McGill now has access to all the "Clinics of North America" titles, 57 in all, published by Elsevier. Each title covers a distinct area of surgery, medicine, veterinary medicine, nursing and dentistry.

Remodelling 2nd floor of McLennan Library Bldg, Humanities & Social Sciences Library

We are doing remodelling work on the 2nd floor of the McLennan Library Building (Humanities & Social Sciences Library) to increase the number of shelves. We are also adding more group study rooms on this floor, to meet student requests for this space. There may be limited access to the 2nd floor during this project from 9 p.m., Friday, Dec. 1, through the weekend. Thanks for your patience during this improvement.
