Current newspapers now available on main floor of McLennan Library Building

Current newspapers can now be found on new display shelves located on the main floor of the McLennan Library Building, Humanities and Social Sciences Library. They are located in a room facing McTavish Street, around the corner from the current print periodicals. If you have any questions about accessing our print or online collections, please feel free to consult library staff.

SAGE Journals Online intermittently unavailable, Nov. 15

On November 15, starting at 5 pm EST, SAGE Journals Online (SAGE's online journal delivery platform) will be intermittently down; it is expected to be fully back online on November 16 with a new look and enhanced features and functionality developed based on feedback from clients. Article indexes and databases, 'Find It McGill' temporarily unavailable night of Nov.11-12

The system used to manage and cross-search article indexes and databases will be temporarily unavailable from Saturday, Nov. 11 as of 11 pm to Nov. 12, 1 am. Howard Ross Management Library will open at 1 pm on Nov. 4

We have just been advised by the Faculty of Management administration that the City of Montreal requires that the Bronfman Building be closed Saturday, November 4, from 8 am to 12 noon approximately. There is a water leak growing in severity that must be investigated. Assuming the building can be reopened, the Howard Ross Library hours will be 1 pm - 6 pm.

24-hour access begins Nov. 7 at Humanities and Social Sciences Library

The Redpath section of the Humanities and Social Sciences Library will be open for study 24 hours a day, 7 days a week starting at 1:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 7, and ending at 8:00 a.m., Friday, December 22. A valid McGill ID card is required for access to the Library after 00:45 a.m. The Redpath main floor, as well as the Info Café and the cafeteria, will remain open overnight during this perio

Osler Library, rare books and reference closed afternoon of November 1

Please note that the rare books (Osler Room and Osler Robertson), archives and reference sections of the Osler Library will be closing at noon on Wednesday, November 1, due to the annual Board of Curators meeting. Oct. 21: Temporary closure of computer/study area in McLennan Library Bldg

On Saturday, October 21, an event has been scheduled for visiting McGill alumni during Homecoming weekend. The computer and study area (former Reference area) on Level 1 (main floor) of the McLennan Library Building will not be accessible from 1 pm to 4 pm. Additional computers and group and individual study areas are available elsewhere in the McLennan and Redpath buildings, as well as in other branch libraries on campus. Books from the Reference collection will be retrieved for users by library staff during this period. Please consult with staff at the Information Desk for details.
