Professor Desmond Manderson made a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada

The Royal Society of Canada announced 78 new Fellows this week, including nine McGill researchers and scholars from the faculties of Medicine, Law and Arts. Among them is Professor Desmond Manderson, who holds the Canada Research Chair in Law and Discourse. Find out more in the McGill Reporter.

Announcing the Aisenstadt Equality and Community Initiative

The McGill Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism is pleased to announce that through a gift from the Aisenstadt Foundation, the Aisenstadt Equality and Community Initiative, has been established. This initiative aims to enhance engagement between universities and community-based organizations on issues relating to equality and access to fundamental social and economic rights.

Focus online - A new roster of Supreme Court clerks

The Faculty of Law continues its record of sending students in large numbers to clerk at the Supreme Court of Canada: for 2012, six of the 27 clerks at the Court will be McGill Law graduates. They are Adela Gotz, Anja Kortenaar, Michael Bookman, Annamaria Enenajor, Corey Omer, and Mary Race.
