Clients of the Nahum Gelber Law Library will not be able to access the Library entrance by way of the walkway from Peel due to repairs being carried out to the exterior of the Library. Access is offered via the staircase from the Old Chancellor Day Hall driveway. Mobility-impaired users can come through the cafeteria entrance on the south side of Old Chancellor Day Hall.
A free-standing ornamental wall fell over and smashed a large window at the Nahum Gelber Law Library, filling a corridor with large sandstone bricks. Fortunately, no one was injured but we are concerned about another free-standing wall of the same type. At the moment, our front door and driveway have been sealed off, but we are staying open. Access can be gained through Old and New Chancellor Day Halls.
The Law Library will be open until 23:45 as of December 3. Please note that access during extended study hours is restricted to McGill students and staff with a valid McGill ID.
Materials in the Peter Marshall Laing Special Collections Room (Wainwright Collection, Rare Canadiana, etc.) of the Law Library are unavailable for consultation during the month of May while temperature and humidity controls are being installed. We regret the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
