Washrooms on floors 1, 3, 5, 7, and 13 have been recently finished and are now open for use while washrooms on floors 4, 8, 9, 11 and 12 undergo renovation. The Sir William Osler street entranceway to McIntyre is closed May 10-13 due to demolition near the McIntyre Medical building's entrance. Please use: Pine Avenue entrance to McIntyre. Pedestrians may also enter McIntyre through the tunnel from the Stewart Biology Building. Peel street entrance to Bellini. De La Montagne Street entrance to Davis and Hosmer House. The washroom subcontractor has been informed that renovation of washrooms on floors 1,3,5,7,8,9,10 and 13 must be substantially accelerated. In the meantime please use washrooms on floors 2,4,6,11, and 12. The cleaners have modified their schedule to ensure that washroom facilities are clean and in proper working order at all times. There will now be two patrols of the washrooms during the day
Revised schedule: Electrical shut down schedule at McIntyre Fri. March 18 (5:30 pm) - Mon. March 21 (8:00 am)
All ventilation and heating systems in the building will shut down, except for those in the Animal Research Centre. The elevators will not be operating. Building users are advised to vacate the building during the shutdown. This shutdown is required in order to replace the entire electrical entrance to the building
Labs on floors 8, 9 and 10 are nearing completion. The animal ventilation system is finished. Freezer farm areas are nearly completed. Washroom renovation on floors 1,3,5,7,8,9,10 and 13 will be completed by the end of March. Washrooms on floors 2,4,6,11, and 12 will be finished by April 29.
Washroom renovation at McIntyre has been delayed. We are working to complete the work as efficiently as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience. Moveable crane on Promenade Sir William Osler dismantles McIntyre tower crane. Access to Osler near McIntyre is closed. Osler library closed Feb 26 & 27 while crane is in operation. Please use; Pine entrance to McIntyre, pedestrians may also use the tunnel from Stewart Biology, Peel entrance to Bellini, De La Montagne to Davis and Hosmer House, Peel access to McIntyre parking.
Seventy-five percent of the new HVAC system is now in operation. The remainder will be up and running by the end of February. Ventilation conduits are being installed in the mechanical rooms for exhaust as well as circulation. The 8th and 9th floor labs all have new lab benches and exhaust hoods. A portion of the 10th floor will be completed by the beginning of February.
Washrooms are being renovated in the McIntyre Medical Building. Phase 1 will begin January 3rd and finish mid February. The floors affected will be 1,3,5,7,8,9,10,13. On December 3, 2010, Prime Minister Harper extended the deadline for completion of Knowledge Infrastructure Program projects to October 31, 2011. Work continues at an accelerated pace to complete all projects as close as possible to the original March 31, 2011 deadline. While unanticipated challenges will delay some McGill KIP projects, all McGill KIP projects will be completed by the new date

Circulation at the McIntyre Medical building is restricted for security reasons while the construction crane is in operation, until December 2010: The Pine Avenue lobby on the 6th floor is partially closed. The two west doors are enclosed by fences from 6 am - 2pm. The lobby/entrance leading to Martin Theatre on the 6th floor is closed between 6 am- 2pm. Offices in room 633 remain accessible
