myFuture Downtime
MyFuture will be down for all students on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm for data synchronization. This synchronization will update current student profiles from add/drop. Be proactive and don't wait until the last minute to apply to any of the October 2. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.
Feb. 22 - 6:45 am to 7:15 am - McGill web site maintenance
On Tuesday Feb 22 from 6:45 am to 7:15 am, many McGill web sites (www.mcgill.ca/*) will be unavailable during system maintenance. During this period, users attempting to access any affected web site will view a message advising them of the downtime and providing links to key McGill IT services.
Upgrade to McGill web search engine may slow performance
McGill IT Services will upgrade the search infrastructure on the McGill website starting on Friday, February 4 at 5 p.m. The new search engines will take approximately 10 days to index the content of all web pages. This may slow down performance of McGill web sites; however there should be no disruption to the web service or the search functionality.
Dialup Access Service (DAS) Decommissioned as of Dec 15
McGill’s Dialup Access Service (DAS) to access the Internet has been decommissioned.

The myMcGill portal will be unavailable during this scheduled maintenance.
Nov. 6, 2 pm to 6 pm: maintenance affecting McGill Password Change and Student/Staff Directories
Saturday Nov. 6, 2 pm to 6 pm: McGill Password Change on Minerva will be unavailable, and the Student and Staff Directory web pages will not display.
myMcGill portal scheduled maintenance: Nov 3, 10pm to 11pm
The myMcGill portal will be unavailable during this scheduled maintenance.
Electrical outage scheduled, Nov. 2 - 10 pm to 10:30 pm at several downtown buildings
Please be advised there will be an electrical shutdown at several downtown buildings on Tuesday November 2 - 10 pm to 10:30 pm.

Banner/Minerva Upgrade: several systems affected, Nov. 18 - 22
Banner, the enterprise system used at McGill to store all student, applicant, employee and finance data, will undergo a major upgrade from version 7 to version 8. Banner, Minerva, the portal and other systems will be unavailable from 5:00 pm Thursday, November 18 to 6:00 pm Monday, November 22. See the full announcement for a list of other systems that will be affected during this period.

McGill Print server: planned maintenance October 27, 11pm-12am
The McGill Print server will be unavailable on Wednesday, October 27th from 11:00pm to 12:00am. This will impact all network printers on campus that connect to the central server. We apologize for the inconvenience.
McLennan Library: no network connectivity Friday October 22, 1:00 am - 6:00 am
Due to an electrical shutdown at McLennan Library, there will be no network connectivity available from 1:00 am until 6:00 am.
BlackBerry Enterprise Server scheduled maintenance: October 16, 1:30-3:30 am
The BlackBerry Enterprise Server will be unavailable due to maintenance from 1:30 am to approximately 3:30 am on Saturday, October 16. During this period you will be unable to send or retrieve email or calendar events. Personal Information Management (PIM) synchronization will also be unavailable.
