McGill Library is pleased to announce the official launch of a new mobile library website as of June 1. Access library services any place, any time on your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and most smart phones. Features on the mobile site include: Catalogue search, Course Reserves, Ask us, Library hours, Library finder on Google Maps, Library News, and FAQs.
The COLOMBO Interlibrary Loan system will be un available for McGill clients or library staff from Friday May 21 to Monday May 24 inclusive, while an upgrade to version 4.1 is in progress. Access to COLOMBO will resume on Tuesday May 25 in the morning.
A range of electronic compact shelving and a completely renovated "quiet study" perimeter will be installed over the Winter Term on the 5th floor of the Humanities and Social Sciences Library (McLennan Library Building). The collection will be accessible at all times while this work is underway, and extensive seating is available throughout the Humanities and Social Sciences Library.
The Library has trial access until November 20 to the Monthly Catalog of U.S. Government Publications, 1895-1976, a comprehensive index to historical information published by the United States federal government from 1895-1976.
The Library has trial access until November 20 to the Wellesley Index to Victorian Periodicals, 1824-1900, an index to the authorship of articles published in Victorian Periodicals, and a bibliography of articles written by each contributor, using each pseudonym.
The Library has trial access until October 18 to the following database: Nationalsozialismus, Holocaust, Widerstand und Exil 1933-1945 / National Socialism, Holocaust, Resistance and Exile 1933-1945. It includes approximately 40,000 primary sources.
