A fake Microsoft Critical Security Update email is currently circulating in various global email systems. If you receive it, do not open any attachments or click any links contained in the email. DELETE it! To protect your computer, ensure you are running McGill's antivirus software (free from McGill's Software Licensing website) and that you have installed the latest security updates.
Starting on December 7, 2009, McGill IT Services will begin implementing new security requirements for all users of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES). Emails sent from web pop-up forms on Sept 1 and 2 were undelivered. From approximately 11:30 am Sept. 1 to 4:30 pm Sept 2, emails sent using the spam-protected email form from many McGill web pages were not delivered, due to a technical problem. See the full message for details.
