One of Montreal’s leading lawyers and a longtime supporter of McGill University, Stuart H. (Kip) Cobbett has been appointed to a five-year term as Chair of the University’s Board of Governors, effective Jan. 1, 2010. Mr. Cobbett succeeds outgoing Chair Robert Rabinovitch.
Two McGill researchers have been awarded the distinction of American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Fellow. The rank of Fellow is the highest honour awarded by AAAS and is bestowed upon members by their peers in recognition of scientifically or socially distinguished efforts to advance science or its applications.
