McGill Library is pleased to announce the official launch of a new mobile library website as of June 1. Access library services any place, any time on your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and most smart phones. Features on the mobile site include: Catalogue search, Course Reserves, Ask us, Library hours, Library finder on Google Maps, Library News, and FAQs.
The COLOMBO Interlibrary Loan system will be un available for McGill clients or library staff from Friday May 21 to Monday May 24 inclusive, while an upgrade to version 4.1 is in progress. Access to COLOMBO will resume on Tuesday May 25 in the morning.
McGill Library is once again surveying the McGill community to get an update on our performance. We want to know what is working and what needs improvement in order to serve you better.
There will be disruptions and closures this week in several areas of the Library due to the McGill Leadership Summit, Homecoming and Parents Weekend. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
The Education Library reopened Wednesday, September 5, 2007. Our regular sessional hours have resumed following renovations that were carried out over the summer. The Library is still undergoing renovations. We thank you for your patience while the contractors and library staff put the finishing touches on your newly renovated library.
The Education Library and Curriculum Resources Centre will not be accessible until September 4, 2007. Services continue to be available from the Education Faculty Computer Lab (Room 328). Please accept our apologies for this inconvenience.
When faculty and students return for the Fall 2007 academic year they can look forward to an attractive, newly renovated Education Library. During the month of August, the Library will undergo major refurbishment. Please note the Library will be closed from August 13 to 26, although staff assistance will be available from the Computer Lab (room 328). We apologize for any inconvenience that the refurbishment and closure may cause. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
Due to a water shutdown, the Education Building and the Library will be closed for the remainder of the day, Monday, May 14, 2007. The Library will reopen tomorrow morning at 8:30 am. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
Due to a major water main break at the corner of Peel Street and Dr. Penfield, the City of Montreal has shut the water off on Peel Street north of Dr. Penfield, and the Education Building is affected. As the problem is not expected to be corrected before 6:30 p.m. today, the building and the library will be closed for the remainder of the day, Thursday, April 19, 2007.
CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature) and ERIC (Education Resources Information Database) are no longer available via the Ovid platform. Please refer to the Library Catalogue or use Article Indexes and Databases to connect to these resources.
