The Life Sciences collection is merging into the Schulich Library of Science and Engineering and the Main Education collection is moving to the 2nd floor of the McLennan Library Building. The collection moves are progressing well and we expect that the collection relocations will be completed in the upcoming weeks. We will keep you updated on a regular basis on our progress. Please note that the Cyberthèque in the Humanities and Social Sciences Library will be closed from Tuesday August 21st until Thursday August 23rd, 2012 to allow construction crews working on the McLennan-Redpath Terrace reconstruction access. The Cyberthèque will reopen on Friday August 24th, 2012.

Several library services will be unavailable on Tuesday August 7th 2012 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm while maintenance work is being carried out on the server.

eScholarship@McGill as well as eTheses and locally digitized materials accessible through the Catalogue will be unavailable on Wednesday May 9th 2012 from 10:00pm to midnight while maintenance work is being carried out on the server.

The system upgrade process encountered some technical issues and took longer time than we had expected. We now have to extend the downtime until the work is completed. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We are trying our best to bring the services back as soon as possible. Thanks for your understanding!

Due to system upgrade work, the Find It @ McGill service and eResearch Gateway will not be available from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2011. During this planned downtime, access to McGill electronic resources through the Library's Classic Catalogue, eResearch Gateway, Find an eJournal, Google Scholar, and LibX McGill will not be available.

No library service from 10am - noon on Tuesday, December 6 in most branches.

As of October 17th, extended study hours will be implemented at following library branches: Marvin Duchow Music Library: -10am to 10pm, Monday through Thursday -10am to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday Education Library and Curriculum Resource Centre: 10am to 10pm, Monday through Thursday

On Monday, October 10th (Thanksgiving Day), 24 hour study access will be available at the Humanities and Social Sciences Library and the Schulich Library of Science and Engineering. All other library branches will be physically closed. Services (loans, reserves, consultations) at all branches will also be closed on Monday, October 10th.

The Library will remain open during the MUNACA strike which began on Thursday, September 1 at 6AM.

Please note that the McGill WorldCat Catalog will be unavailable Sunday, August 8, 2010 between 2-6 A.M. for scheduled maintenance.

July 13 & 14 during library opening hours (M-F 9-17:00) please use the emergency fire exit doors on Peel Street to access the Education Library.
