Electronic Data Resources Service (EDRS) news
There will be disruptions and closures this week in several areas of the Library due to the McGill Leadership Summit, Homecoming and Parents Weekend. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
The Library has secured a one month trial of the new World Bank database Africa Development Indicators (ADI) Online. This database provides the most comprehensive collection of data on Africa available.
As of May 1, access to the UN Common Database (UNCDB) is free of charge. In addition, "a new system, UN data, will be launched in Summer 2007 and will provide improved access and searchability for United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) databases."
New workshops are being offered at the EDRS centre for the Winter 2007 session. Please check the "Classes, workshops, tours" page under the "Services" section of the EDRS website.
Any web pages which are still on www.library.mcgill.ca will not be accessible for a short period on campus, ranging to a couple of days internationally, because the IP address for that site is being changed. We hope this does not cause too much inconvenience. In the meantime, most of our web pages are still accessible at www.mcgill.ca/library. For further assistance please feel free to ask a librarian.
