Project Summary: This report is the second publication in the DiversityLeads series, followuing a 2012 report profiling women in senior leadership positions in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Professor Samer Faraj is the winner of the Best Publication of 2011 Award, a joint award given by the Association of Information Systems and the International Conference on Information Systems for the following article: Faraj, S., Jarvenpaa, S. and Majchrzak, A. et al., Organization Science. “Knowledge collaboration in online communities.” This is the biggest award in the field of Information Systems.

Prof. Lisa Cohen was awarded a SSHRC Connections Grant for her project “The structure and structuring of work within and across organization.” Connection Grants support events and outreach activities geared toward short-term, targeted knowledge mobilization initiatives. These events and activities represent opportunities to exchange knowledge and to engage on research issues of value to those participating.
