On January 25, 2012, the government of the Dominican Republic announced that it will undertake to translate and publish Paul Stephen Dempsey's book Public International Air Law into Spanish.

Congratulations to the McGill Moot Team for taking first place in the 2011 Sarin Leiden International Air Law Moot Court Competition in Dubai, UAE. Joseph C. Wheeler, an Australian lawyer who received his Certificate in Air & Space Law from McGill's Faculty of Law this winter, was the first lawyer to receive a Royal Aeronautical Society Centennial Scholarship in November 2010. The IASL congratulates him for this distinction.

The 39th Edward Warner Award, the highest honour in the world of civil aviation, was conferred by the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) on Dr. Nicolas Mateesco Matte on September 30, 2010, in recognition of his eminent contribution to air and space law.
