Westmount Examiner - Taking science to new heights

Published: 22 December 2011

The world of science captured on the television or computer screens seen through a child's eyes is a fascinating one, until that child becomes a disillusioned college student when learning that the science portrayed through the media is not the real science.

That is why Westmounter Nigel Penney has been spearheading a project to empower students to get involved in real science at an early age. The new Westmount Science Camp, in collaboration with the Westmount Sports and Recreation Department, McGill University, the Redpath Museum and Westmount High School, will be opening its laboratory doors this coming summer for children between the ages of 6 and 13.
