Update on negotiations with AMUSE (floor fellows)

The parties met on November 2nd in the presence of the arbitrator appointed by the ministère du Travail. The parties reached agreements and ratified articles related to the posting and granting of appointments and to performance dialogues.

The employer submitted for review by the union and the arbitrator a first draft of the collective agreement that includes all of the articles that have been agreed on up to now.

Parties are scheduled to meet again on November 14 and 15, at which time they are planning to address work organization, the ratio of residents per floor fellow, work hours and employment contracts. The arbitrator asked the parties to come prepared to share respective goals, interests and constraints related to these issues.

This update is meant to inform the community about ongoing negotiations and has been validated by the union.
