Sport betting: the Donaghy File

To paraphrase Claude Raines in Casablanca, we are then shocked, shocked to find out so many people pretending to be shocked by the charge that National Basketball Association referee Tim Donaghy fixed some games. Let us make it then as explicit as possible: the entire issue is being analyzed backward not only because of refusing to see the impacts of prohibition, but also because of the refusal to acknowledge gambling's link to sports.
