Services for students: Operating hours during the strike

Published: 2 September 2011

On behalf of Morton J. Mendelson, Deputy Provost (Student Life & Learning)

During the MUNACA labour dispute, McGill will do everything it can to minimize the impact of the strike on students, but we know it may not always be possible to conduct business as usual.

To help, we’ve set up a website at www.mcgill.ca/students/operating-hours where you can find up-to-date operating hours for some 40 student services and units around McGill.  We’ve asked all our units to quickly update those operating hours if they change.

During the strike, students are still expected to attend classes and complete their work as usual, and all scheduled courses will be held.  The McLennan and Schulich Libraries will remain open for study 24/7, and the University will continue to provide all critical services.

As 2011-12 begins, I wish you all the best for the upcoming academic year.

Morton J. Mendelson

Deputy Provost (Student Life & Learning)
