MONTREAL -- Tristan Renaud-Tremblay of Montreal and Brianna Miller of Pte. Claire, Que., are the McGill University athletes of the week, sponsored by Ye Olde Orchard Pub & Grill, for the period ending Sept. 4, 2011.

Renaud-Tremblay, a 6-foot-7, 220-pound forward with the basketball Redmen, registered a "double-double" as McGill won 78-71 against Niagara University, an NCAA Div. 1 team, last Saturday.  A 22-year-old kinesiology major, he posted game-highs in points (20), rebounds (11) and steals (4). He shot 8-for-11 shots from the field and 4-for-5 from the foul-line. Renaud-Tremblay is in his second year with the Redmen after transferring from The Citadel last year. He previously attended and played for Champlain College in St. Lambert, Que.

Miller, a 5-foot-5 fullback on the women's rugby team, scored a pair of tries as the Martlets opened their preseason schedule with a hard-fought 22-15 victory over Queen's in Kingston, Ont., on Saturday. The 19-year-old physical education sophomore previously attended John Abbott College.
