OneStart Bio-Entrepreneur Competition
SR-One and Oxbridge Biotech Roundtable invite young bio-entrepreneurs from McGill University to enter the world¹s largest life science business plan competition, OneStart. The winner will receive $150k, free lab space and ongoing legal and intellectual property advice.
First round applications are open from October 15th to December 15th 2013. Entrants can join individually or as a team, and are encouraged to recruit other scientists, business students, lawyers and anyone else with the talent and motivation to execute on a great idea. We welcome ideas at ALL stages of development. Entrepreneurial individuals without a biotech idea of their own are encouraged to create a profile at our Co-Founders Hub, where applicants can search for additional team members.
35 semi-finalists will receive direct mentorship from experienced industry professionals, chances to network with Venture Capital, Pharmaceutical and Biotech executives and the right to attend a Business Bootcamp in San Francisco with workshops from our sponsors, including GSK, Roche and Nature Biotech. The winner will be chosen at our finals gala before a crowd of industry executives in May 2014.
OneStart is open to any applicants 35 and under as of January 1, 2014, who are living in North or South America.
