One step closer to the future

On September 3, 2014 St-Mary's researchers unveiled a "robot-doctor" that will not only be used during explorative spatial missions, but also on Earth.  It will be used in particular to help in the rapid diagnosis and prescription of the right treatment for the astronauts in orbit. It will aslo be of significant help in, amongst other things, reducing the congestion in walk-in clinics, in developing countries as well as in the treatment of chronic diseases.

Still in the trial stage, this new technology also called letality algorithm, will only be available on the market in the next three to five years.
