MUHC named one of Montreal’s Top 15 Employers

It’s official – the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) is one of the best places in Montreal to work and build a career. That’s the conclusion reached by the judges of Mediacorp’s annual competition recognizing Montreal-area employers that lead their industry and offer an exceptional place to work. The list of winners, recently published in The Gazette and Le Devoir, places the MUHC on the winners’ list for the second year running.

“It’s wonderful to be named one of Montreal’s Top 15 Employers two years in a row,” said the Honourable Arthur T. Porter, MUHC Director General and CEO. “This special designation speaks volumes about MUHC-wide efforts to create an inspiring workplace, and all staff members deserve kudos for contributing to such an environment. It benefits our individual and collective well-being, and that of our patients and their families.”

The national criteria used to evaluate organizations for this award include physical workplace, atmosphere, performance management, employee communications, as well as training and skills development.  The MUHC received special mention for its flexible hours, training programs and parental support programs.
