On the heels of the people's revolutions unfolding in Egypt, Tunisia, Yemen and Algeria, it's obviously time to reflect on the role which social networking site, Google and the Internet in general are playing in changing the world in the time it takes to send a Tweet.

Gabriella Coleman, an assistant professor on New York University's department of media, culture and communication, and a fellow at the institute for Advanced Study, couldn't be coming to McGill at a better time.
