McNicoll continues McGill tradition with Guy Lafleur Award

In what is becoming an annual rite of spring, McGill’s Cedric McNicoll has won the Guy Lafleur Award of Excellence as the Quebec university player who combines hockey excellence with academic success and citizenship.

... The 25-year-old McNicoll took a roundabout route to McGill’s Desautel faculty of management, where he has achieved a 93.6-per-cent average. He gave pro hockey a shot after four seasons with the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s Shawinigan Cataractes and played three years in the American and East Coast leagues.
