MCH doctor receives prestigious award

The Montreal Children's Hospital (MCH) is pleased to announce that Dr. Sam D. Shemie, Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Associate Director of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, has been named the first recipient of the Bertram Loeb Chair in Organ and Tissue Donation and part-time visiting professor in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ottawa.

The Bertram Loeb Chair has been established to promote a national academic discourse for the investigation and the understanding of current and emerging medical and societal issues related to organ and tissue donation.

The Montreal Children's Hospital is the pediatric teaching hospital of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC). The institution is a leader in the care and treatment of sick infants, children and adolescents from across Quebec.
