You may lose your Internet service Monday unless you do a quick
check of your computer for a DNS Changer malware that could
have infected your machine more than a year ago. You may not even
know that your computer has been infected, although you may be
experiencing slower Web surfing and your antivirus software may be
disabled.
McGill IT Services recommends following these detection and
remediation steps:
1 Check whether your computer is infected:
http://www.dcwg.org/detect/
2 If your computer is infected go to: http://www.dcwg.org/fix/
For more information on the DNS Changer Malware, read the
CTV news article and visit the DNS Changer
Working Group's website.
