ISID releases a report on Ecuadorian foreign policy

Published: 20 April 2012

We are pleased to announce that the Institute for the Study of International Development has recently entered into a collaborative relationship with the Carter Center of Atlanta, Georgia. The Carter Center was established by former US President Jimmy Carter and has been an important actor in supporting democracies throughout the developing world. In particular, it has hosted the Friends of the Charter, a group of prominent former hemispheric leaders who have actively worked in support of  the Inter-American Democratic Charter. The Democratic Charter was signed by members of the Organization of American States in 2001, reaffirming the hemisphere’s commitment to strengthening democratic governance throughout the Americas.

The attached report (in Spanish and English) is the first result of the collaboration between the Carter Center ISID, and was produced specifically for the Friends of the Charter.  We encourage its wide distribution.
