McGill University invites applications for the Gretta Chambers
Chair in East Asian Art History, a joint appointment in the
Departments of East Asian Studies and Art History and
Communications Studies, at the tenure-stream Assistant Professor
rank, commencing August 1, 2011. Candidates must have a
specialization in Chinese art history, an understanding of
methodology and critical theory, and the ability to teach an
introductory course in East Asian Art and courses from Early to
Late Imperial and/or Modern/Contemporary Chinese Art, as well as
graduate seminars in the candidate’s area of specialization. Ph.D.
expected at time of appointment; teaching experience preferred.
Knowledge of French an asset. The application deadline is November
