On Monday, Facebook announced that Define the Line, a bilingual website maintained by a group of education and law students at McGill, was one of four groups that will share a $200,000 research grant aimed at making the Internet a better place for young people. Define the Line was created by a team led by Dr. Shaheen Shariff, an associate professor at McGill, whose research focuses on youth and digital media.

The site is designed to help combat cyberbullying and to develop tools that help “enhance responsible digital citizenship.”
