Family Medicine Interest Groups (FMIG) on Bill 20

Published: 2 June 2015

Two members of the McGill Family Medicine Student Interest Group (FAMSIG), Annick Gauthier and Hiromi Tissera, were involved in producing a joint paper with other Quebec Family Medicine Interest Groups (FMIGs) on Bill 20. FAMSIG is a group of McGill Medical Students interested in family medicine, whose mission is to promote medical student exposure to family medicine.

The paper, entitled "Reflection on the role of the family doctor and the accessibility of care in Quebec: Point of view of Quebec medical students," was jointly produced by members of FMIGs from McGill University, Université de Montréal, Université Laval, and Université de Sherbrooke, as part of the consultations of the working group put in place by the Collège des Médecins du Québec to redefine the role of the family physician in Québec.
