Published: 10 May 2010

Éric Dupont, a novelist and lecturer in the Department of Translation Studies, is one of the two writers selected by the Union des écrivaines et écrivains québécois to participate in the first writer residence program created as part of a cooperation agreement between Quebec and the German state of Bavaria.  The award grants Dupont a three-month stay at Villa Waldberta, a historic house located near Munich which welcomes artists and writers from around the world.  While there next fall, Dupont will work on his fourth novel, which is set in part of Germany.
