Desautels Faculty gets Top Results in Canadian Business' 2011 MBA Guide

Results: The Desautels Faculty of Management is #1 in Canada for average starting salary post-MBA at $112,000, and the only school with a starting salary over $100,000. Desautels also continues to have the highest % change in post-graduation salary at 129% (the only school to have a % change over 100% for 2 years in a row) and the highest % of international faculty at 85%.

Desautels Profile: To help students handle the modern workforce's pace of change, Desautels offers a cross-functional learning program where teachers from different specialties co-teach one comprehensive core class to all MBA participants. In their first year, students are encouraged to define personal goals and values that will shape their decision-making and direction over the course of their careers. Once students have completed the core, they can specialize in concentrations like global strategy and leadership, or technology and innovation management.

With a 50% international student population, another Desautels focus is travel. More than half of the school's students take part in an international exchange program at one of its partner schools around the world in places such as Africa, the Middle East or Europe, and all part-time MBA students participate in an international study trip.

The bilingual McGill-HEC Montréal joint EMBA allows students to continue working throughout the 15-month program and then complete a second residential module abroad in Latin America or Asia.
