Desautels BCom students put their case analysis and presentation skills to the test once again at the 2nd annual Asian Business Case Competition (ABCC) hosted by Nanyang University in Singapore.  The event took place from October 19 to 23, 2008.  Ten teams from six countries had 40 hours to analyze a case on Aitken Spence Hotel Holdings PLC.  This was following by a 15 minute presentation and 15 minute Q & A session.

McGill's team consisted of BCom students Marie-Pierre Chabot-Belanger, Amélie Foz-Couture, Jessica Neufeld and Teresita Perez-Salamero.  A special thanks to Profs. Angela Burlton and Richard Donovan who acted as coaches as well as Prof. Donovan who accompanied the team to Singapore.

Due to their exceptional performance in the semi-final round, McGill made it to the finals along with the University of Auckland, University of Southern California and Thammasat University. After a long deliberation from the judges, the University of Southern California was announced as the overall winner with McGill a close second. Needless to say, a wonderful experience was had by all along with a heartfelt thank you to our wonderful hosts at Nanyang
