Consortium of Atelier TAG and Jodoin Lamarre Pratte wins Chambly library competition

The consortium of Atelier TAG and Jodoin Lamarre Pratte has won the competition, Le pôle du savoir, d'histoire et de la culture, for a new library and multifunctional hall in Chambly.

Manon Asselin (B.Arch. 1992, M.Arch. 2001) is co-founder, with her partner Katsuhiro Yamazaki (B.Arch. 1996), of Atelier TAG.  McGill grads Jason Treherne and Hubert Lemieux were also on the TAG team.  Michel Broz (B.Arch. 1987) is a main partner of Jodoin Lamarre Pratte.

The Mayor of Chambly, Denis Lavoie, commented, “C’est avec une grande fierté que nous verrons, dans les prochains mois, le paysage de notre ville se modifier, grâce à un projet porteur, empreint de culture, contribuant à la vitalité de notre municipalité et au mieux-être de notre population. Le projet sélectionné est attrayant et rassembleur à tous points de vue. Il comporte une vision architecturale intéressante, qui a su faire l’unanimité du jury.”
