Congratulations: DISE’s Sarina Lalla receives 2017 Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Award


Sarina Lalla, currently studying for her B.Ed in Secondary Science Education (specializing in Biology) with our Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE), has been named as the recipient of the 2017 Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Endowment Fund for Study in a Second Official Language Award Program.  

The award, established by the Government of Canada, is conferred upon a students enrolled in their second or third year of their first bachelor’s degree program during the 2015-16 academic year. The award’s aim is to “encourage young Canadians who wish to improve their proficiency in their second official language to pursue studies on a full-time basis at a university that functions in the other official language, and in a milieu in which that language predominates.
