Award winner - Management

Associate professor of operations management Saibal Ray has been selected for the 2008 Institute for Industrial Engineers (IIE) Transactions on Scheduling and Logistics Best Application Paper Award. Dr. Ray co-authored the paper, "Coordination of Quantity and Shelf-Retention Timing in the Video Movie Rental Industry," with Yigal Gerchak, Tel Aviv University, Israel (Industrial Engineering), and Richard Cho, UNB Saint John (Operation and Information Management). Dr. Ray is also a Desautels Faculty Scholar and co-director, Master in Manufacturing Management (MMM) program (www.mmm.mcgill.ca).
