AMURE update: Five more articles ratified

McGill Human Resources has asked Research and International Relations to relay updates on the University’s negotiations with AMURE, the union representing research associates and assistants.

Five more articles ratified

At the November 21 bargaining session, the following articles were reviewed, finalized and agreed to by the parties:  posting and appointments, termination notice and availability lists, educational assistance and tuition waiver, social leaves and work accidents.  Articles relative to statutory holidays and parental leaves were also reviewed and will be discussed at the next bargaining session, set for November 28 in the presence of the government-appointed conciliator.

Lors de la séance de négociation du 21 novembre dernier, les articles suivants ont été révisés, finalisés et convenus par les parties: l’affichage et les nominations;  le préavis de cessation d’emploi et les listes de disponibilités, l’assistance éducative et l’exemption des droits de scolarité, les congés sociaux et les accidents de travail.  Les articles liés aux congés fériés et aux congés parentaux ont été révisés et feront l’objet de discussions lors de la prochaine séance de négociation, prévue pour le 28 novembre, en présence de la conciliatrice nommée par le gouvernement.
