576 Quebec Candidates Pass the 2011 Uniform Evaluation

Published: 6 December 2011

Results of the 2011 Uniform Evaluation (UFE) were released this morning. The Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec is pleased to announce that 576 Quebec candidates passed one of the most challenging examinations in the world. The high number of successful UFE candidates testifies to the considerable appeal of the chartered accountant profession among young students.

This year, five CA candidates from Quebec earned a place on the UFE Honour Roll of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, which recognizes the highest standings in Canada on the UFE. The Ordre is very proud of these undeniably talented future members who will become ambassadors of the profession in the business world.

"Their expertise, hard work and unfaltering pursuit of excellence will ensure a promising future and exciting careers for these candidates to the CA designation. They will certainly become major assets for our society and for their community," stated Manon Durivage, FCA, Chair of the Ordre.

Daniel McMahon, FCA, President and CEO of the Ordre, added that "thanks to their know-how and talent, these 576 candidates will be able to assume leadership roles in Quebec and elsewhere in the world, since the CA profession is recognized internationally. Passing the UFE is the result of the determination they have shown every step of the way. But we must also underscore the importance of the support provided by educators and training employers, who helped guide them on the path to success."
