Sherbrooke 688 Room 1041, 688 rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Montreal, QC, H3A 3R1, CA
Free, no registration required

McGill web editors working in the WMS (Drupal) are invited to attend a free Lunch & Learn session on Wednesday, April 30th from 1-2pm at 688 Sherbrooke, room 1041. No registration required!

Help your site’s visitors find what they’re looking for with an intuitive menu architecture and clear navigation paths. Topics covered will include:

  • Identifying – and identifying with – your audience
  • Creating, organizing and naming your pages: how to use information architecture to meet your users’ needs
  • Building a menu structure that stands the test of time
  • Scaling up to larger sites

Can’t make it on the 30th? A recording will be posted online to McGill’s BCOOL system about a week after the event. Previous sessions held by McGill’s Web Communications team can also be viewed here.

Unfortunately, food and drinks are not permitted in room 1041.

This session is presented by the Office of Communications and External Relations. Visit Web 101 for more information on how you can make your site the best it can be, including tips and best practices for site planning, web writing, page layout, Google Analytics, usability testing and more.
