Science and The Law At A Crossroad

Recent developments in cognitive psychology have significantly changed our understanding of how we make decisions—from the most mundane to the most critical. What are the implications for lawyers, judges and other jurists? And how will these developments impact how future generations of lawyers are trained?

Speakers: Profs. Lara Khoury and David Lametti, with Dr. Daniel J. Levitin (Dept. of Psychology, McGill University, and author of This Is Your Brain on Music and The Organized Mind)

Une pensée d’avance – Think Ahead

Each year, the Faculty of Law offers a series of five three-hour continuing legal education lectures on themes rooted at the very heart of contemporary legal issues. The lectures, accredited by the Barreau and the Chambre des notaires du Québec, are offered in the evenings, 6 – 9 p.m., by professors and prominent graduates of the Faculty. Most of the lectures are bilingual, with parts in French and others in English.

Come broaden your legal knowledge, network with colleagues and meet your continuing legal education obligations by registering for one or several of the lectures in the "Une pensée d’avance – Think Ahead" series.

Registration is open: https://www.mcgill.ca/law/registration-step-1
