Drs. Jamshid Beheshti (Interim Dean), Andrew Large (SIS), Kevin Kee (CRC, Brock University), and Charles Cole (DISE): "History revisited: Using virtual environments to enhance the learning experience"; Dr. Catherine Guastavino (SIS): "Virtual auditory worlds." Prof. Beheshti is one of the pioneers in research relating to virtual information environments. From PACE to the Virtual Library, he has created virtual systems designed to help students find information more easily and effectively. Dr. Guastavino will speak about her research in the Multimodal Interaction Lab, which encompasses cognitive strategies and affective responses to interface design, integration of visual, auditory and haptic information, auditory perception and cognition, and learning effects.
