Geometric Group Theory Seminar: Daniel Wise. Gitik-Mitra-Rips-Sageev has proven that any quasiconvex subgroup of a word-hyperbolic group has finite width, and hence finite height. Prof. Wise will discuss proof of this result aimed towards a generalization. Joint work with Chris Hruska.
