Public Lecture: Two walks with Frederick Law Olmsted

Witold Rybczynski, author of the prizewinning biography of Frederick Law Olmsted, A Clearing in the Distance, talks about the famous landscape architect's connection to Montreal and Mount Royal, and his earlier life as a sailor, farmer, reporter, editor, civil servant, and mine manager. Rybczynski also takes us on two "walks" through two Olmsted landscapes: Prospect Park in Brooklyn, and the Biltmore Estate is Asheville, NC.
