The Office of Sponsored Research is pleased to invite faculty members to an upcoming NSERC Discovery Grant workshop.

 

Getting Your Grant: Strategies for Success 

 

New and established McGill researchers planning to submit an NSERC Discovery Grant application this fall are strongly encouraged to attend this workshop organized by the Office of Sponsored Research.

 

Guest speaker:

Dr. Bruce Lennox, Chair, Department of Chemistry

Group Chair: NSERC Committee 1504 – Chemistry

 

The goal of this session is to provide "behind the scenes" information about the peer review committee process and activities, as well as helpful tips and "tricks of the trade" for researchers to enhance the quality of their applications. This session will focus on successful strategies for planning and writing a grant application, with particular emphasis on the restructured peer review system and new evaluation process. The latest competition results and potential strategies for coping with recent changes to the RTI and MRS programs will also be discussed.
