Getting Your Grant: Strategies for Success

New and established McGill researchers planning to submit an NSERC Discovery Grant application this fall are strongly encouraged to attend this workshop organized by the Office of Sponsored Research.

The goal of this session is to provide "behind the scenes" information about the peer review committee process and activities, as well as helpful tips and "tricks of the trade" for researchers to enhance the quality of their applications. This session will focus on successful strategies for planning and writing a grant application, with particular emphasis on the restructured peer review system and new evaluation process. The latest competition results and potential strategies for coping with recent changes to the RTI and MRS programs will also be discussed.

Should you be unable to attend this session, a repeat session will be offered at the Downtown Campus in the fall. More information regarding a Macdonald campus session will follow at a later date.

If you would like to attend, please RSVP to lauren [dot] clark [at] mcgill [dot] ca (lauren [dot] clark [at] mcgill [dot] ca) by Tuesday, June 12th. Please note that this workshop may be cancelled if attendance is insufficient.

*Refreshments will be served.*
