Brown bag lunch series: Evaluation and Feedback in Large Classes
Peer Review with Undergrads: Promoting an Understanding of Academic Writing
A peer review assignment with 450+ students? Where a portion of the grade is determined by peers?
Professor Lawrence Chen will share his thoughts on the pedagogy and logistics related to his experience implementing a peer review writing assignment, as well as his students’ thoughts on engaging in this peer review task.
We invite you to bring your lunch and contribute to a discussion on this topic with fellow instructors from across McGill.

The goal of the Evaluation and Feedback in Large Classes* series is to engage the McGill community in considering effective strategies for evaluating student work and providing feedback to students in large classes. The series features McGill instructors who have developed effective and creative approaches for evaluating and providing feedback, to students in their large classes and provides a forum for discussion among peers dealing with similar issues.
The series is sponsored by the Assessment in Large Classes Advisory Group. We are a group of faculty, staff and students interested in enhancing student assessment and feedback at McGill.
