The presenters will discuss specialty treatments for OCD throughout the life span and CIOCD mandates (Debbie Sookman, PhD), review current research on cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) for pediatric OCD (Sandra Mendlowitz, PhD), discuss biological and clinical factors associated with higher rates of non-response in childhood onset OCD (Noam Soreni, MD), present the clinical and research work of the first specialty OCD pediatric team developed to service the Maritimes (Alexa Bagnell, MD), present and illustrate group-based CBT interventions for OCD with adolescents (Ingrid Sochting, PhD), and give an overview of OCD related disorders proposed in DSM-5 (Peggy Richter, MD). Discussions among panelists and the audience will follow the brief presentations.
