"McGill's Answer for Cancer" team training session (Run for the Cure)

Tuesday, August 12, 2014 17:30to18:30
James Administration Building Meet outside the main entrance at 5:30 sharp!, 845 rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Montreal, QC, H3A 2T7, CA

For the second year in a row, McGill is making a commitment to reach out beyond the Roddick Gates by raising funds for breast cancer research, education, and awareness programs. On Sunday, October 5, members of our community will take part in the 2014 Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure in Montreal. Research and International Relations will organize the team, and everyone from across McGill as well as alumni, friends, and family are welcome to participate in the 5K or the 1K walk or run with us. To join the McGill team, “McGill’s Answer for Cancer,” please click here.

In preparation for our participation in the 5K or the 1K walk or run, we invite all registered participants to join training sessions organized by RIR. Not only will this help you get in shape for the Run, but you will have the opportunity to get to know your McGill teammates.

Our main goals are to have as many McGillians and friends as possible participate and to emphasize the “fun” in fundraising! Last year, McGill’s team was a top fundraiser, bringing in almost $15,000 for the cause, and we hope to surpass that amount this year.

The participant fee for the 2014 CIBC Run for the Cure is $40. You may also choose to have your participant fee waived by committing to raise $150 or more by October 31, 2014.
